Our promise
We take no money from facilities. Ever.
No advertising. No sponsored placement. No “featured” listings. No referral fees, tour bookings, or lead selling. Our only customers are families. This isn't a marketing line — most senior-care websites are paid by the facilities they list, which is why they never show you an inspection record. We built this site to be the opposite of that.
We don't rank, rate, or recommend
The star ratings you see here are CMS's Five-Star ratings, issued by the federal government — never ours. We don't score facilities, we don't pick “best of” lists, and we will never tell you where your family member should live. We show you the official record and give you questions to ask on your tour. You know your family; we know the data.
Every claim is dated and sourced
Every fact on this site traces to an official CMS record, carries the date of the data release it came from, and links to its source. Citations are official records of what state inspectors found on specific dates — facilities may dispute findings, and a past citation is not by itself a conclusion about conditions today. When data is missing, we say “not recorded” rather than guessing.
We correct mistakes within 72 hours
If you see an error — whether you're a family member or a facility administrator — email corrections@nursinghomelens.com. We respond within 72 hours, and if we got something wrong, we fix it and say so.
What we are not
NursingHomeLens is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by CMS, Medicare, or any government agency. The underlying data is published free by CMS at medicare.gov/care-compare — what you get here is the analysis, the comparisons, and the plain English. We provide no medical advice; nothing on this site is a substitute for your own judgment or your family's medical team.
