The numbers are a starting point, not a verdict.
A star rating, a citation, a staffing level, or a fine is a fact, but a fact without context. A citation might be minor, or already fixed. A staffing number can look low or high depending on how much care the residents need. A fine could be years old. On their own, these numbers can't tell you whether a home is right for the person you love, and we won't pretend they do.
Our job is to give you the real record in plain English, and the right questions to ask, so you can walk into a tour or a call with the administrator informed and confident, and get the context straight from the source.
